Here are Keryer Cockers, we are deeply committed to the maintenance and improvement of the health of this breed. All our dogs are routinely health tested at the appropriate ages. We believe strongly in the importance of this practice for the betterment of our own puppies, and the breed as a whole.

Before breeding our dogs must pass their CERF exam for eyes,
OFA for hips and OFA for patellas.

A note about patella testing: This test is non invasive, can be done in a qualified vet's office, and is inexpensive. Luxating patellas are a painful, expensive problem to treat in cocker spaniels. Afflicted dogs must endure painful surgeries and long recoveries that are hard on both dog and owners.
Patella testing should be a standard test for all cockers in the breeding pool.
